POST SCRIPT
Tony Blair and John Howard are no less complicit than George Bush in setting off the chain of events in Iraq that continues to spill innocent blood. All three leaders continue to justify their invasion, despite the scale of the disaster, and are probably now lying to themselves, as much as they lie to the public. A few days ago, when a packet sent to the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra was found to contain a white powder of unknown toxicity, John Howard described the substance as a biological agent. The airwaves lit up with evocations of bio terrorism. It turned out the powder was no more dangerous than a packet of mouldy flour. John Howard described the packet posting as a reckless act of evil. No. A reckless act of evil is the carnage in Iraq.
